Digital Printing: Typical Applications

Large-format prints

Digital printing clearly excels at large format prints on paper or film. Typical products are large posters for indoor or outdoor use, studio walls for trade fairs or even exclusive photo wallpapers. The product range for digital prints is extremely varied, customisable and practically unlimited when it comes to workable sizes with the option of multi-sectional layouts.

Small print runs

Silkscreening, thermal transfer and offset printing require a minimum print run for economic reasons. But the digital print can also often take over the printing jobs for these classic printing processes. Small print runs can thus be produced in a way that is economically feasible. Applying protective surfaces, e.g., transparent laminates, compensates for possible disadvantages in durability.

Electroluminescent films

We print transparent films for use in illuminated frames (e.g., our Style illuminated frame system) using the 8-colour digital process. Using liquid colourants, a robust backlit film is printed on which subsequently a matt, transparent protective film is laminated for greatest durability. Thus equipped, these illuminated frames, so classy in their visual appearance and workmanship, are ideally suited for LED-illuminated advertising, light boxes or illuminated displays – colour-fast, low-maintenance and durable.
